Privacy Policy

In short: your creative files never leave your computer. We only handle the personal data needed to sell and support paid plans, and that is mostly held by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

1. Who is responsible

Gatecheck is operated by Banam Marketing Pvt. Ltd., 207 Millennium Heights, F-11, Islamabad, Pakistan. Paid plans are sold by Whoa Mart Ltd, which is the data controller for purchase and billing data. Contact us at support@getgatecheck.com with any privacy question or request.

2. Your files

Gatecheck checks images, video and HTML5 files entirely inside your web browser. Files you drop or choose are not uploaded to our servers, and we have no access to their contents. When you close or reload the tab, they are gone.

3. Data we process

Purchase and billing data. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your name, email address, billing country or address and payment details. We receive your email address, billing details, subscription status and payment history from Stripe. We never receive your full card number.

License key. Your license key contains an internal Stripe customer and subscription reference. It is stored in your browser so your plan stays unlocked, and is sent to our server to check that your subscription is active.

Settings. Your delivery plan, custom specs, naming template, client and campaign names, and the agency name and logo you add to reports are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us.

Support emails. If you email us, we keep the correspondence to answer you and handle your request.

Technical data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the website.

4. Why we use it and our legal basis

• To provide your subscription, verify your license and handle billing, refunds and cancellations (performance of a contract).
• To keep financial records we are required to keep (legal obligation).
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse such as shared license keys (legitimate interests).
• To reply when you contact us (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Service providers

• Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions, including through its Link service where Link sells the subscription as merchant of record. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the license check and forwards support email. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Pages load only from getgatecheck.com, including fonts. Some providers process data outside the UK and Pakistan, using safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores your settings and license key in your browser's local storage so the tool works as expected. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud.

7. How long we keep data

Billing records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, generally six years after the end of the financial year they relate to. Support emails are kept for up to two years after your last contact. Data stored in your browser stays there until you clear it or choose Remove from this browser in your plan.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email support@getgatecheck.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes

We will update this policy if our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
